Dr. Morgan Fredell, MD

Dr. Morgan Fredell earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her internship at Sunrise Health MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, her ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, NC where she served as chief resident, and a cornea and external disease fellowship at Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Fredell earned her Masters of Business Administration from Rice University in Houston.

Dr. Fredell is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Her clinical interests include cataracts, cornea dystrophies including Fuchs’ dystrophy, cornea transplants, intraocular lens fixations and exchanges, pterygiums, refractive surgeries including LASIK, PRK, SMILE, ICL, and refractive lens exchanges, keratoconus, and dry eyes. Dr. Fredell sees adults and children ages 6+ years without a referral. She will see children under the age of 6 years old with a referral from an ophthalmologist. Dr. Fredell also provides comprehensive eye exams and surgeries for adults with intellectual or neurologic disabilities.

Dr. Fredell is Director of Refractive Surgery at Cizik Eye Clinic at UTHealth Houston. She is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Cornea Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Society of Ocular Trauma, Texas Medical Association, Texas Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, Houston Ophthalmology Women, Harris County Medical Society, and Houston Ophthalmology Society. She serves on the Annual Meeting Planning Committee for the American Society of Ocular Trauma and the Wellness Council for the UTHealth Houston Office of Faculty Affairs.

Dr. Fredell is a native of Katy, and moved back to Houston to be close to family. Away from work, she enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy, building LEGO, playing board games, and traveling with friends and family.
