Dr. Fiaz Zaman, MD

A native of Kansas, Dr. Fiaz Zaman earned both his undergraduate degree in biology and his medical degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. During medical school he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, an ophthalmology residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and fellowship training in glaucoma and anterior segment diseases at Houston Eye Associates.

In practice since 1995, Dr. Zaman is board certified in ophthalmology. His primary clinical interests are cutting-edge surgical methods for the treatment of glaucoma and cataract, as well as refractive (LASIK) surgeries. He is also involved with clinical trials on new methods of treatment for ophthalmology patients. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Zaman’s practice philosophy is very patient-oriented. He strives to help his patients feel comfortable by taking the time to answer their questions and explain their ophthalmic conditions.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Zaman and his wife enjoy attending Houston Rockets games.
