Dr. Sidra Yunas, MD

Dr. Yunas will be leaving her practice with Memorial Hermann Medical Group (MHMG) on 03/31/2024. If you plan to continue your care with any other MHMG provider in the network, you do not need to take any action. Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Sidra Qasim Yunas, MD, received her bachelor degree from Houston Baptist University and her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her residency from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX, where she also served as chief resident. During residency, Dr. Yunas received the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Outstanding Resident Award

Fluent in Urdu and Hindi, Dr. Yunas sees female patients from adolescence to adults and provides care for expectant mothers before, during and after the baby's birth. She also treats conditions of the female reproductive system. Dr. Yunas’ gynecological services includes annual well woman exams, contraception counseling, normal and abnormal menstrual cycles and menopause. Her obstetrical care services include monitoring the care of pregnant women and assisting with all aspects of labor and delivery. Dr. Yunas’ clinical interests include laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive procedures.

Compassionate and a good listener, Dr. Yunas enjoys establishing patient-physician relationships that are collaborative and built on trust. Dr. Yunas understands that each patient has their own unique needs, therefore it is imperative to listen to each woman as an individual and seek input regarding her health care goals. Dr. Yunas’ number one priority is delivering high quality, cost effective patient-centered care.

In her personal time, Dr. Yunas enjoys spending time with her family, reading and cooking.
