Dr. Jon Faro, MD PHD

Dr. Jonathan Faro earned his medical degree at Rush University Medical College in Chicago and completed his internship and residency at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Faro has been in practice since completing his residency in 2011. He initially worked in an academic setting, where he enjoyed performing research and teaching residents. After leaving academics, he practiced with his cousin and father in a small community hospital in Houston and gained experience treating chronic urinary tract infections, chronic vaginitis and hidradenitis suppurativa. He provides care for women through each phase of life, from adolescence through menopause.

Combining the skills he learned during his graduate studies with his clinical experience, he develops treatments tailored specifically to his patients’ conditions. Patients find him to be a warm physician who genuinely cares about his patients and truly listens to their concerns. He takes time to provide thorough explanations and actively involves patients in health care decision-making.

Dr. Faro is married and enjoys spending time with his family. His two sons are musically inclined, excelling in jazz piano and saxophone. In his free time, Dr. Faro enjoys attending the wonderful musical events that Houston has to offer.
