Dr. Fangxian Lu, MD

Dr. Fangxian Lu, who was born and raised in China, earned her medical degrees from the Medical School of Yangzhou University and the Medical College of Fudan University. She earned a PhD at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where her research focused on preeclampsia during pregnancy. She completed her internship and residency in OB/GYN at Flushing Hospital and Medical Center in Flushing, N.Y.

Dr. Lu is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Her primary clinical interests are general gynecology, pregnancy, birth control options, menopause, minimally invasive procedures and office procedures. She also speaks Chinese.

A believer in holistic medicine, Dr. Lu treats patients like family and listens carefully to their needs and concerns. Her goal is to establish long-time relationships with her patients and their families and to deliver patient-centered care through the different stages of their lives.

Dr. Lu is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Texas Medical Association, Fort Bend Medical Society and Chinese American Doctors Association of Houston.

When she is not working, Dr. Lu enjoys running, watching movies, traveling and spending as much time as possible outdoors with her husband and two children.
