Dr. Esohe Faith Ohuoba obtained her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine where she also earned a master of public health (MPH) in maternal and child health degree. In addition, she graduated summa cum laude and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Ohuoba’s clinical interests are disease prevention. She treats female patients from age 9 to adults for fibroids, abnormal pap smears, family planning, and well woman exams. Dr. Ohuoba also specializes in high-risk obstetrics that involve special monitoring of medical conditions that could pose potential issues for the mother or child.
Dr. Ohuoba is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Member Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Dr. Ohuoba credits her father as her inspiration for becoming a doctor. “He is motivating and always encouraged me to strive for my best,” she said. “I always wanted to help people and being a doctor, I could do that in all aspects of their lives.”
She says chose the field of obstetrics and gynecology because she sees women as the “building blocks of the family,” and she strives to treat her patients like members of her own family.
“I find it a privilege to be a physician and have patients share such a personal part of their lives with me,” Dr. Ohuoba said. “I like to take time with my patients so I can connect and listen to their needs.”
In her spare time, Dr. Ohuoba enjoys Zumba and being active.
