Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Bonilla graduated, cum laude, from The Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Before joining the Memorial Hermann Medical Group, Dr. Bonilla was in private practice in Kingwood, Texas and prior to that served as a major in the U.S. Air Force at Darnall Army Medical Center in Ft. Hood, Texas, as an active duty obstetrician and gynecologist.

Dr. Bonilla is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists with clinical special interests in advanced laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive procedures and high-risk obstetrics.

Dr. Bonilla sees patients 13 years and older and makes it a point to take the time to counsel each patient to make sure she understands her medical condition.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Bonilla enjoys his days off playing sports and spending time with his wife and two children.
