Dr. Chioma Ogbejesi earned an undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Connecticut and practiced as a registered nurse before attending Central Michigan University for her medical degree. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Connecticut. She is also a certified clinical transplant nurse.
Dr. Ogbejesi has been in practice since 2024. She sees patients for the whole spectrum of women’s health from adolescence through their reproductive years into menopause. Her primary clinical interests include reproductive health, obstetric care, infertility, pelvic pain and abnormal uterine bleeding.
Her nursing background has given her a unique perspective on patients and families, and her approach to care involves listening carefully to a patient’s concerns. Understanding those concerns and integrating them with evidence-based medicine and the art and science of medicine allow her to be an ally in her patients’ medical care—something she feels strongly is important.
She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Away from her practice, Dr. Ogbejesi enjoys spending time with family and friends, fitness, basketball, cooking, traveling and reading.
