Dr. Aurora Gonzalez, MD

Dr. Aurora Gonzalez earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Yale University and her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, where she was named Outstanding Chief Resident.

Dr. Gonzalez, who is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, has been in practice since 1996 and speaks Spanish. She practices general obstetrics and gynecology, including well-woman exams, adolescent gynecology, contraceptive counseling, infertility counseling, cervical dysplasia management, endometriosis management and treatment for dysfunctional bleeding and pelvic pain. Her special clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecological procedures, female incontinence, female vaginal (bladder/rectal) prolapse and tubal ligation reversal (reanastomosis).

Dr. Gonzalez is on the faculty of the St. Joseph Medical Center OB/GYN residency program.

She strives to provide excellent medical care with compassionate, individualized attention. Patient education and face-to-face time are very important. Her patients describe her as patient, caring and thorough and rate her highly for her ability to explain conditions, listen and answer questions.
