Dr. Alexandra Pellicena, MD

A native of Mardi, Spain, Dr. Alexandra Pellicena earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio, and her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. She completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Dr. Pellicena, who is board certified in OB/GYN, is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  She has been in practice in the Houston Heights area since 2001. She sees patients ages 16 to 66 years old and speaks Spanish. Dr. Pellicena specializes in helping women find relief from severe gynecological conditions, such as uterine fibroids and endometriosis as well as osteoporosis that can harm a woman’s quality of life.

As a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Pellicena’s goal is to consistently provide compassionate, quality health care to women through every stage of their lives, from the reproductive years to menopause and beyond. She has extensive experience helping women with high-risk pregnancies and offers bio-identical hormonal treatment for life changes.

Dr. Pellicena is married and the mother of twins. In her leisure time, she enjoys skiing, Pilates and yoga.
