Dr. Koijan Kainth, MD

Dr. Koijan Kainth graduated from the University of California at Berkeley at the top of his class and went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Penn. He then completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center before completing a one-year orthopedic spine fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Board certified in general neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS), Dr. Kainth offers a unique perspective on treating spinal disorders due to his extensive training in both neurosurgery and orthopedic spine surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery along with complex reconstructive spine surgery.

Dr. Kainth’s patients enjoy his conservative and individualized approach to care. He strives to give his patients a thorough understanding of their conditions and all of their treatment options. He only recommends surgery after all conservative measures have been exhausted and when the benefits outweigh the risks of surgery.

Dr. Kainth is a Fellow of ABNS and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), and is a member of the North American Spine Society (NASS), the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) and the Montgomery County Medical Society (Montgomery CMS).
