Dr. Ajay Bindal, MD

Dr. Ajay Bindal earned his degree at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, where he graduated with distinction, and completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s Mayfield Clinic.

Board certified in neurological surgery, Dr. Bindal has done research at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School. He currently serves as the chief of Memorial Hermann Hospital’s neurosurgery section and is a member of the Medical Executive, Clinical Outcomes Review, Clinical Programs, Credentials, and Joint Quality Review Committees, as well as the Physician Operating Council.

Dr. Bindal has authored a number of influential articles and presented original research findings on topics ranging from brain tumors to congenital anomalies at national and international meetings. His clinical interests include cervical surgery, lumbar surgery, brain tumors, aneurysms, pituitary tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, spinal cord tumors, acoustic neuromas, stereotactic surgery and radiosurgery. In practice since 1996, Dr. Bindal treats patients 18 and older.

Dr. Bindal is dedicated to providing excellent and compassionate clinical care and treating patients with integrity, respect and honest communication. He is known for giving patients direct, honest and complete opinions and guiding them toward successful management of their conditions.

A resident of Southwest Houston, Dr. Bindal is married and the father of four children. His favorite leisure activity is swimming.
