Dr. Raja Mehanna graduated summa cum laude from St. Joseph University School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon. He received his residency training in neurology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston (BCM) where he was recognized with the resident teaching award three times. He completed two fellowships in movement disorders; one at BCM and then the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio with a focus on Botox injection, deep brain stimulation, intra-operative mapping and post-operative programming.

Board certified in neurology, Dr. Mehanna has been in practice since 1995 and is dedicated to providing his patients expert diagnosis in all aspects of movement disorders and offering individualized treatment options. He treats patients 18 years and older, and emphasizes listening to his patients and patient education. He speaks French, Arabic and conversational Spanish.

A Houston resident, Dr. Mehanna is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, swimming, diving, classical music and is interested in history, ecology and theology.
