Dr. Nishith Majmundar, MD

Dr. Nishith Majmundar received his medical degree from M.P. Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India. He then completed his internship followed by his residency training in neurology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.

Board certified in neurology, Dr. Majmundar has practiced medicine in Houston since 1998. His clinical interests include stroke, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.

Dr. Majmundar’s practice philosophy is to provide patient-centric care. Personable and easy to talk to, Dr. Majmundar makes it a point to explain the diagnosis and treatment to his patients. His goal is to provide quality and compassionate care to patients18 years and older. He and his staff speak Gujarati, Hindi and Spanish. Dr. Majmundar believes it is an honor and privilege to help his patients.

A recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for his work, Dr. Majmundar was named Physician of the Year at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in 2005 and one of Houston's Top Docs by H-Texas magazine.

Residents of Clear Lake, Dr. Majmundar and his wife, who is also a neurologist, have two children. Away from the office he enjoys reading, playing cricket and spending time with his family.
