Dr. Muhammad Arshad earned his medical degree in Pakistan at Rawalpindi Medical University. In New York City, he completed a residency in neurology at New York University Medical Center and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr. Arshad is board certified in neurology and specializes in clinical neurology, neurophysiology and neuromuscular medicine. He has extensive clinical experience in managing numerous neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, headaches, neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, dementia, neuromuscular diseases and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He treats patients 14 years and older and sees some pediatric patients, depending on the condition.
Dr. Arshad also performs a wide range of procedures, including nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) for both adult and pediatric patients, routine electroencephalograms (EEG), injections for migraines, occipital nerve blocks, skin biopsy and lumbar punctures.
Dr. Arshad is married and the father of a daughter and a son. Outside of his practice, he enjoys spending quality time and dining out with family and friends as well as traveling.
