Dr. Kamayani Khare, MD

Dr. Kamayani Khare earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkley and her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where she served as chief resident, followed by a two-year fellowship focusing on epilepsy at UTHealth Houston and Houston Methodist Hospital.

Board certified in adult neurology, Dr. Khare specializes in epilepsy and treats patients with a wide variety of neurological disorders, including epilepsy (including prior to or during pregnancy), stroke/transient ischemic attack (TIA), dementia syndromes, other cognitive and memory disorders, neck and back pain, tremor syndromes (including essential tremors), neuropathy, headaches and migraines, multiple sclerosis, syncope and presyncope, Parkinson’s disease and spine disorders, including neck and pack pain and radiculopathies. She also performs electroencephalograms (EEG) for routine and prolonged studies involving adult and pediatric populations.

Her practice approach includes extensive counseling and education for both patients and their family members.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Khare also has been a neuro-hospitalist, providing acute neurological care via telemedicine to community hospitals along with education for medical students and residents.
