Dr. Jigar Rathod is a board-certified specialist in neurology and epilepsy whose primary clinical interests include general neurology, seizures, headaches, Parkinson’s disease, dementia and stroke. He treats adult patients 18 years and older and has been in practice since 2016.
A native Houstonian, Dr. Rathod earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He completed both his residency in neurology and a fellowship in neurophysiology at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Dr. Rathod is committed to caring for the community and helping people struggling with neurological issues through patient education and coordination of care plans that can improve their quality of life. His practice philosophy centers on building personalized relationships and always doing what is best for the patient. His patients describe him as an exceptionally compassionate physician who is a great listener and answers questions clearly in terms that they can understand.
He is a member of the American Epilepsy Society and American Academy of Neurology. A resident of the Cypress area, Dr. Rathod is married and the father of two young boys. In his leisure time, he enjoys hanging out with his sons, watching sports and movies, painting and reading.
