Dr. Mehreen Khan earned her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan.  She completed her internship, residency and fellowship at Louisiana State University School of Medicine.

Board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, Dr. Khan has been practicing medicine since1996.  Her clinical interests include kidney disease, such as kidney stones, polycystic kidney, kidney inflammation, kidney infection and kidney failure, hypertension and transplant.  She offers comprehensive treatment for acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease and end stage renal disease.

Dr. Khan works closely with her patients, providing each with personalized attention. Her goal is to inform her patients of the entire process of their treatment and offer numerous avenues of care, so they can make informed decisions. She makes it a point to provide timely care to patients with high blood pressure and kidney disease.  Dr. Khan treats patients 18 years and older. She and her office staff speak Hindi, Urdu and Spanish.

A clinical assistant professor of nephrology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB), Dr. Khan is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology, Renal Physicians Association, Texas Medical Association and Harris County Medical Association.
