Dr. Mouzam Faroqui earned his undergraduate degree in biology at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, N.Y., and his medical degree at the American University of Antigua. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in general cardiology at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine in Bronx, N.Y., followed by a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center of Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Brown Mills, N.J.
Dr. Faroqui, who specializes in interventional and endovascular cardiology, is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
He treats adult patients for coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease (blockages in arteries around the heart or legs), arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats, such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia) and structural heart disease, such as valve issues. His primary clinical interests are complex coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease and venous insufficiency. He speaks fluent Urdu and Hindi and some Spanish.
Dr. Faroqui believes that listening to his patients is half of his job, because listening helps him uncover the root of problems and develop treatment plans tailored to patients’ needs. He wants patients to see him as a trustworthy, dependable physician who will care for them as he would any of his family members.
Dr. Faroqui is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and the Cardiovascular Research Foundation.
Away from his practice, Dr. Faroqui enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and playing basketball or soccer.
