Dr. Luis Dlouhy, MD

Dr. Dlouhy will be leaving his practice with Memorial Hermann Medical Group (MHMG) on May 6, 2026. After finishing his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University, Dr. Luis Dlouhy earned his medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine. At Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, he completed his residency in combined internal medicine and pediatrics, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Dlouhy, who is board certified in internal medicine, specializes in pathology and prevention of heart disease. He has been in practice since 2016 and speaks Spanish.

He focuses on coronary artery disease, both acute and emergent, and treats a wide variety of conditions including heart attacks, angina, heart failure and shortness of breath. His primary clinical interests are clinical cardiology, acute heart attack, opening blocked arteries, abnormal valves and responding to other cardiac emergencies.

Dr. Dlouhy uses cutting-edge cardiac care and technology for minimally invasive options that treat conditions and improve patients’ quality of life. His approach to care focuses on teamwork with the patient, as well as with other health care professionals. He wants his patients to feel empowered to make decisions along with him, making certain that they are as committed to the treatment plan as he is. He recognizes that patients frequently feel dismissed or rushed, but he wants to ensure that, when they leave his office, they feel listened to.

A resident of southwest Houston, Dr. Dlouhy enjoys playing the piano, guitar and trumpet, plus tennis, cooking, running and dog training.
