Dr. Jose Chavez, MD

Dr. Chavez is a board-certified cardiologist treating patients 18 years and older. He attended Stanford University for undergraduate studies and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Chavez completed his internal medicine residency at Northwestern University and his cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Chicago. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology and internal medicine.

His clinical interests include a broad variety of areas within the field of cardiovascular disease, including prevention of cardiovascular disease, management of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and structural heart and valve disease.

Growing up in South Texas provided Dr. Chavez with the opportunity to witness the difficulty many had when trying to obtain health care; this experience has driven him to advocate for the health of all people. Dr. Chavez’s goal is to be an asset to his community and help guide his patients to healthier lifestyles.

In his spare time, Dr. Chavez enjoys running and spending time with his family.
