Dr. Jawad Chohan earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where he served as chief fellow in general and interventional cardiology.

In practice since 2017, Dr. Chohan is board certified in four areas: internal medicine, general cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear imaging. His training in a high-volume, clinically focused program in the the Texas Medical Center allowed him to rotate among different hospitals to care for patients from all walks of life with complex pathologies.

Dr. Chohan’s primary clinical interests are general cardiology, interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular disease for patients ages 18 and older. He strives to provide comprehensive, high quality, patient-centered and evidenced-based care in both clinic and hospital settings, for increased continuity of care. His practice style focuses on preventing disease, sharing decision- making and giving patients a clear visual understanding of their conditions by reviewing imaging with them.

He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Texas Medical Association.

A resident of Midtown, Dr. Chohan is married and the father of a daughter. Away from his practice, he enjoys tennis, skiing and spending time with his family.
