Dr. Hamza Ansari earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his internship and residency at Indiana University Health, followed by fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Indiana University’s Krannert institute of Cardiology, where he was recognized with awards for outstanding cardiovascular research.
Dr. Ansari is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and adult echocardiology. He is also a registered physician in peripheral vascular interpretation.
His primary clinical interests are patient education and complex coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. He treats the spectrum of cardiac diseases, including rhythm disorders and structural heart issues.
Dr. Ansari’s approach to care involves educating patients, discussing different available treatment options and then developing a patient-focused treatment plan, based on consensus, that has the patient’s long-term outcome in mind. He wants his patients to feel that he listens to them and explains their clinical problems well. When they leave his office, he wants them to understand their condition and know exactly what to do next.
