Dr. Emmanuel Achu graduated from Minnesota State University with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. He then worked for the Molecular Genetics branch of the Mayo Clinic Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in Rochester Minn. He earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, N.J., followed by fellowships in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Dr. Achu, who has been in practice since 2013, is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. He treats patients ages 18 and older and also speaks French.
As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Achu prioritizes a patient-centered approach, ensuring that each patient receives tailored care based on their unique health needs. He believes in clear communication, which helps his patients to fully understand their conditions and treatment options and empowers them to make informed decisions. He is also passionate about a holistic approach to both prevention and treatment of disease, with great emphasis on lifestyle and dietary modifications.
