Dr. Armita Atashband, MD

Dr. Armita Atashband earned her medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. She did her internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she also completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology. She received the “Interventional Cardiology Fellow of the Year” award at Baylor.

In practice since 2006, Dr. Atashband is board certified in three areas: interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine and internal medicine. She specializes in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, with primary clinical interests in coronary and peripheral interventions.

Her practice provides a full spectrum of diagnostic testing, comprehensive therapies and interventional/electrophysiologic procedures that utilize the latest technology. Patients highly recommend her, saying that she is not only knowledgeable but also very good at explaining conditions and answering questions and concerns.
