Dr. Adnan Afzal, MD

Dr. Adnan Afzal received his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He then completed his internal medicine and cardiology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan followed by a fellowship in interventional cardiology at St. John’s Hospital in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.

Board certified in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Afzal has practiced medicine since 1991. He specializes in coronary artery disease.

Dr. Afzal is dedicated to giving each patient the same quality of care that he would give a family member and takes time to thoroughly explain treatment options and the prescribed course of care. He communicates frequently with his patient’s primary care physician to ensure continuity of care and more effective management of treatment.

A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Afzal has served as an assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
