Dr. Jacqueline Joe, MD

Dr. Joe will be leaving her practice with Memorial Hermann Medical Group (MHMG) on June 20, 2025. If you plan to continue your care with any other MHMG provider in the network, you do not need to take any action. Board-certified Internal Medicine specialist Dr. Jacqueline Joe provides primary care for adult patients over the age of 18 years old. Following completion of her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master’s in Applied Anatomy at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, she completed her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and her residency at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley at Doctors Hospital at the Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas.

As an Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Joe treats a full range of chronic conditions that includes asthma, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, cardiovascular diseases, and congestive heart failure, as well as acute conditions such as infections, including Urinary tract infections, cellulitis amongst others.

Dr. Joe wants patients to come to her when they are looking for a compassionate physician who listens to their needs and addresses their concerns. Her patient-centered philosophy of care ensures that patients are involved in making decisions. She also takes a collaborative approach when communicating patient needs with other specialists and support service providers.

Her favorite part of practicing medicine is using the skills and knowledge she has gained from her training and practice to help patients in their times of need. Dr. Joe enjoys the diagnostic process of figuring out the root cause of a condition and helping to provide a solution. She also values the relationships she builds with her patients at their most vulnerable times. She considers their care and trust a privilege that she does not take for granted.

Dr. Joe is a member of the American College of Physicians. Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas and Society of Hospital Medicine.
