Krishna Kishore Pachipala, MD, received his medical degree at the age of 23 from Kurnool Medical College in India. He then trained with an internal medicine residency program at William Harvey Hospital, which is part of the East Kent Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is located in Willesborough, England. After passing membership exams, Dr. Pachipala obtained the prestigious Membership of Royal College of Physicians of London (MRCP).
After moving to the United States, he continued his internal medicine residency training at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Penn. Dr. Pachipala went on to complete his medical oncology and hematology fellowship at UT Health San Antonio, where he served as chief fellow and participated in several National Cancer Institute-sponsored cooperative group trials.
Board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Pachipala manages all kinds of cancer and hematologic problems with special interests in tumors and cancers of the brain, breast, gastrointestinal (GI) tract (gastric/colon/pancreas), lung and prostate. In addition, he specializes in treating patients with multiple myeloma (Kahler’s disease) and leukemia (blood cancer).
Dr. Pachipala places great emphasis on delivering patient-centered care, patient education and communication while practicing evidence-based medicine. He cares for patients living in Conroe, Cypress, Houston, Huffman, Hufsmith, Humble, Magnolia, New Caney, North Houston, Porter, Spring and Tomball.
Throughout his career, Dr. Pachipala has published several scholarly articles and abstracts in “American Journal of Hematology,” “Journal of Clinical Oncology” and in several other medical journals.
He has also been honored with numerous recognitions during his career. In 2014, Dr. Pachipala received the Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award, which honors physicians who treat patients with the utmost kindness –- as reflected in their superior “Overall” and “Best Manner” ratings on vitals.com. In addition, he was included among America’s Top Oncologists in 2012 and America’s Top Physicians in 2013 by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
Dr. Pachipala is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and Harris County Medical Society (HCMS).
When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Pachipala enjoys reading, traveling, playing racket ball, yoga and spending time with his wife and two children.
