Dr. Tina Chung, MD

Dr. Tina Chung earned her undergraduate degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed her internship and residency in general surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock.

Dr. Chung, who is board certified in surgery, sees patients for hernia, gallbladder, intestinal problems and other surgery-related conditions. Her clinical interests include utilizing minimally invasive robotic surgery in both elective and acute care surgery to improve patient outcomes and speed the recovery process.

In addition to her board certification, she has certificates in endoscopic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. She also speaks Mandarin fluently.

Dr. Chung’s collaborative approach to patient care is based on loving to work with patients to determine their health care goals and achieve them as a team. She wants patients to feel that they had a good experience, that she listened to them and that together they had a good surgical outcome.
