Dr. Laith Numan, MD

Interventional gastroenterologist Dr. Laith Numan is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He has been in practice since 2014 and speaks Arabic.

Dr. Numan earned his medical degree at the Jordan University of Science and Technology and a Master of Science with emphasis on clinical research from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he also did his internal medicine residency. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Mo., and an advanced endoscopy fellowship at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

With primary clinical interests in pancreatic and bile duct diseases, Dr. Numan evaluates and treats patients with abdominal pain, Jaundice, elevated liver enzymes, acid reflux, dysphagia, and weight loss. He performs colon cancer screening and specializes in the removal of advanced colon polyps using minimally invasive techniques. He also offers comprehensive evaluation for pancreatic cancer and other complex gastrointestinal conditions such as Barrett’s esophagus, achalasia and gastroparesis.

Dr. Numan is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterology Association and American College of Gastroenterology.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Numan enjoys travel, cooking Middle Eastern cuisines and sports, including soccer, basketball and American football.
