Dr. Gowrappala Ramesh, MD

Dr. G. S. Ramesh earned his medical degree from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences in India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama-Lloyd Noland Clinic and Hospital in Birmingham and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Texas A&M University College of Medicine-Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Dr. Ramesh, who has been in practice in Houston since 1999, is board certified in gastroenterology and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Among the conditions he treats are pancreatic disease, gallbladder and liver disease, intestinal disorders, and esophageal disorders.  His special interest is colonoscopy and irritable bowel syndrome.

He is an American Gastroenterological Association Fellow, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Texas Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Ramesh is also a clinical assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and President of Digestive Health Associates.

Away from his practice, Dr. Ramesh enjoys ballroom dancing, golf, and movies.
