Dr. Tara Everett-Valdez earned her undergraduate degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She also completed her family medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where she participated in a lifestyle medicine cohort focused on evidence-based lifestyle interventions for chronic disease prevention and treatment.
Dr. Everett-Valdez is board-certified in family medicine. She sees adult and pediatric patients (ages 5+) for acute concerns such as abdominal pain, annual wellness visits, sports physicals, well-woman exams, and chronic disease management. She also performs joint injections for adult patients with musculoskeletal pain. Her clinical interests involve preventive health, health education, nutrition and procedures, as well as keeping patients up to date on immunizations and cancer screenings.
Her patient-centered approach to care begins with listening to patients and meeting them where they are. She wants her patients to feel heard, valued and respected and to know they have a physician who genuinely cares about their well-being. She enjoys getting to know patients and forming life-long relationships with them.
Away from her practice, Dr. Everett-Valdez enjoys softball, baseball, pickleball, scrapbooking, cooking and travel.
