Dr. Sumesh Aggarwal, MD

Dr. Sumesh Aggarwal earned his medical degree at Crimea State Medical University and completed his residency in the Saint Elizabeth family residency program in Utica, N Y.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Aggarwal has been in practice since 2003. He treats patients of all ages and also speaks Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Russian. His primary clinical interests include health promotion, preventive medicine and comprehensive chronic disease management.

Dr. Aggarwal’s practice philosophy is based on delivering personalized care and individual attention for each patient. He believes in developing a strong partnership between the physician and patient, as well as with the family. He takes pride in nurturing these relationships and helping his patients along their health journeys. He also provides extended hours to help ensure accessibility to care.

His extensive experience as a hospitalist gives him a thorough understanding of the care his patients need in their recovery after being discharged from the hospital. Dr. Aggarwal works to ensure a smooth transition back home for patients and minimize the need for readmission.

Dr. Aggarwal is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Hospital Medicine, Texas Medical Association and Fort Bend County Medical Society.

A resident of Sugar Land, Dr. Aggarwal is married and the father of a daughter and a son. Away from his practice he enjoys reading, travelling, morning walks and helping his kids with their homework.
