He completed his residency training in family practice at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, John Peter Smith Hospital, in Fort Worth.

Board certified in family practice, Dr. Janecek is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has been in private practice in Manvel, Texas, since 1990 and serves as a clinical rotation preceptor for Manvel High School.

Conversant in Spanish, Dr. Janecek sees patients age two years and older. His clinical interest is in general medicine and he sees himself as a health advisor to his patients. A strong advocate of patient education, he feels that informed patients take more active roles in their treatment and health care.
