Family medicine specialist Dr. Sofi Momin earned an undergraduate degree in neuroscience and behavioral biology from Emory University in Atlanta, a master's degree in medical science from the University of North Texas Health Science Center School of Biomedical Sciences and a medical degree from UNT’s Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. She completed her residency in Houston in the Memorial Family Medicine Residency, part of the Memorial Hermann Health System.
Dr. Momin is board certified in family medicine and holds additional certificates in neonatal resuscitation, basic life support, and advanced cardiac life support. She speaks Hindi and sees patients of all ages.
She treats acute medical conditions such as common illnesses and musculoskeletal problems; manages chronic illnesses, including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and thyroid disease; and does wellness visits.
Dr. Momin’s focus on patient-centered care combines a partnership approach with evidence-based medicine. She works with patients to help them achieve their best possible health and develops treatment plans that serve their individual needs. She also emphasizes patient education, encouraging patients to take an active role in maintaining good health. The most fulfilling parts of her practice are developing strong patient relationships based on mutual trust and respect and seeing patients achieve their mental and physical wellness goals.
