Dr. Roya Zamani, MD

Dr. Roya Zamani earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Houston and her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her residency at the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Sugar Land.

Dr. Zamani, who is board-certified in family medicine, sees patients of all ages and speaks Spanish and Farsi.

She sees patients for a wide variety of concerns including general wellness exams; acute issues such as cold and flu symptoms, abdominal pain, and urinary tract infections; as well as management of chronic medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Her clinical interests include patient education about basic and complex medical conditions, women’s health, and office-based procedures.

Dr. Zamani ’s practice of medicine centers on providing whole-person, evidence-based care. She strongly believes in developing the patient-physician relationship where she prioritizes the patient's perspective and input. Her goal is to work with each patient toward a common goal of improving their health.

She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, American Medical Association, Texas Academy of Family Physicians and Harris County Medical Society.
