Nota Hunter, M.D., received her bachelor’s degree from Hampton University,
Virginia, and gained her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College
of Medicine in Memphis. She completed her family practice residency at both
George Washington University - Holy Cross in Maryland, and Hanover Family
Practice Residency in Virginia. Dr. Hunter is board certified in family medicine by the
American Board of Family Medicine and sees patients from newborn to geriatric.
Inspired at a young age by her grandmother to pursue medicine, Dr. Hunter
embraces the continuity of care and wide variety of conditions she gets to see
through practicing family medicine. In addition to the treatment of a variety of
conditions, her clinical interests include preventive care and treatment of chronic
conditions such as a diabetes and high cholesterol.
Personable and easygoing, Dr. Hunter makes a point to create meaningful
relationships with her patients in order to establish lines of trust and communication.
Her patient-care philosophy is truly team focused, an approach she takes to ensure
that she is able to work together with the patient to find an effective solution to any
condition he or she may be facing.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hunter enjoys cooking, reading novels, watching movies and spending time with her family.
