Dr. Nimrah Patail, DO

Dr. Nimrah Patail earned her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Auburn Campus in Alabama, and she completed her family medicine residency at Houston Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Patail is board certified in both family medicine and obesity medicine. She provides comprehensive care for patients age 5 and older for chronic conditions, such as diabetes and high blood pressure, and acute issues, such as infections and minor injuries. Her practice offers mental health services, women’s health-related care and weight management.

Her collaborative approach to care centers on listening to patients’ needs, making recommendations and guiding them through the treatment process. She wants patients to see her as a physician who listens to them, respects them and explains clearly the “what” and “why” of treatment. She also wants them to feel she is personally invested in their health.

Her greatest professional satisfaction comes from easing patients’ sense of being overwhelmed and letting them know they’re not alone in trying to manage all of life’s details, both health-related and otherwise.
