Dr. Nana Ofori earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Texas A&M University, followed by a master’s degree in biomedical science and a medical degree from the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in San Antonio. She completed her residency in the Osteopathic Medical Education Consortium of Oklahoma-Oklahoma State University Family Medicine Residency.
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Ofori sees patients of all ages—from babies to “seasoned adults.” Her primary clinical interests are women’s health, preventive medicine and minor office procedures.
In addition to her board certification, she holds certificates in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, pediatric life support and neonatal. She speaks intermediate Spanish and basic Twi.
She describes her approach to patient care as “team-based” and sees herself as a coach giving recommendations based on her education and training. Her extensive experience working at community health centers has exposed her to a variety of cultural backgrounds, which allows her to build rapport and life-long connections with patients. Dr. Ofori has a passion for providing access to holistic preventive medicine and primary care for minority and disadvantaged populations.
Away from her practice, Dr. Ofori enjoys music production and performance as a violist and vocalist, creative writing and spoken word, mentorship for medical students, traveling the world and spending time with friends and family.
