Dr. Leah Garcia, MD

Dr. Leah Garcia earned an associate degree in biology from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi and her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Her family medicine residency was at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, during which she served as wellness coordinator for residents in the program.

Dr. Garcia, who is board certified in family medicine, treats patients ages 13 and older for chronic conditions such as diabetes, ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) and asthma and acute conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries. She provides adolescent care, sports physicals and in-clinic procedures such as steroid injections for acute relief of shoulder or knee pain.

She wants patients to see her as a physician who listens to their concerns and helps them achieve their health goals. To accomplish that, she connects with patients on a personal level and ensures that they feel supported, informed and reassured throughout their care.

Away from her practice, Dr. Garcia enjoys run clubs, weightlifting, coffee shops, game nights and baking.
