Dr. Laura Moore, MD

Dr. Laura B. Moore earned an undergraduate degree in biology at The University of Texas at Austin, a master’s degree in bioscience and research policy at Rice University and her medical degree at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. She completed her residency in the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Sugar Land.

Dr. Moore, who is board certified in family medicine, treats patients of all ages. She provides wellness check-ups and treats both acute and chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, anxiety and depression. Her primary clinical interests are preventative medicine and behavioral medicine, specifically helping patients meet their long-term goals.

Her approach to patient care is to combine empathetic listening with a thorough physical exam and evidence-based medicine to develop her treatment plan. She also takes a comprehensive approach to medical care, believing that both the mind and body have an influence on most medical concerns.

She wants her patients to see her as a thorough, compassionate physician as well as a good listener. She works with her patients as a team and answers their questions quickly and appropriately. She prioritizes maintaining long-lasting relationships with her patients and seeing them meet their long-term goals. Ultimately, her goal is to make sustainable changes in her patients’ quality of life that will last them for years.
