Dr. Karen Chang, MD

Dr. Karen Chang earned her undergraduate degree in medical humanities at Baylor University in Waco and her medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She grew up in Taiwan and is bilingual in English and Mandarin.

Dr. Chang is board certified in family medicine. She sees patients for preventive health care, acute conditions such as colds and flu and chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Her primary clinical interests include chronic conditions, behavioral health and women’s health.

With a collaborative team approach to care, Dr. Chang helps patients make informed decisions about their health. She wants her patients to see her as a team player who listens and helps them achieve their health goals.

Dr. Chang is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.

Away from her practice, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and two dogs, playing Old School RuneScape, Disney World, and eating good food around Houston. She has published a book for middle school and young adult readers, Garden of Deceit.
