Dr. Kanaporn Temrutrynit earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and a master’s in business administration at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, and her medical degree at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Sugar Land, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Temrutrynit is a board-certified family medicine specialist who sees patients 5 and older for both acute and chronic conditions. In addition to her board certification, she holds certificates in pediatric advanced life support (PALS), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), advanced life support in obstetrics (ALSO) and etonogestrel implantation. She speaks conversational Spanish and Thai.
Her primary clinical interests are sports physicals and readying children for school sports activities, as well as diabetes and blood pressure management.
Dr. Temrutrynit focuses on teamwork—understanding patients’ individual issues, working with them to get to a diagnosis and treatment plan and involving other specialists and healthcare providers when they’re needed. She wants her patients to see her as a good team player and a good listener who pays attention to their concerns.
She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Academy of Family Physicians and Texas Medical Association.
In her leisure time, Dr. Temrutrynit enjoys drawing and painting, playing with her dog, jogging, weightlifting and trying new foods.
