After completing her undergraduate degree in biology at Prairie View A&M University, Dr. Jerecia Watson earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she was a Rural Health Track Scholar. She completed her residency in the Conroe Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Watson is board certified in family medicine and holds certificates in basic life support and plant-based nutrition. She treats patients of all ages for acute conditions such as cough, cold and sore throat; chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension; and wellness visits. Her primary clinical interests are preventive care, including cancer screenings, and lifestyle medicine, which uses lifestyle interventions to treat chronic conditions.
She approaches care as a partnership in which patients are involved in their treatment plans. She works to create life-long relationships with patients and hopes patients see her as a collaborative, caring physician with whom they feel comfortable talking about their conditions and concerns.
Dr. Watson is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association and Fort Bend Medical Society.
A resident of Richmond, Dr. Watson enjoys traveling, shopping, do-it-yourself home décor and spending time with family.
