Dr. Jayakrishna Davlapur, DO

Native Houstonian Dr. Jay Davlapur earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at Houston Christian University and his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa. He completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Dr. Davlapur is board certified in family medicine. He sees patients of all ages for preventive care and treatment of any acute or chronic primary care concern, including urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, high blood pressure, diabetes, pap smears and colon cancer screening. His primary clinical interests include management of chronic conditions, preventive care and sports medicine. He speaks basic Telugu, Hindi and Spanish.

His practice approach is built on nurturing, protecting, building trust and guiding patients through every stage of their health care journeys. Dr. Davlapur wants patients to see him as a physician who really listens, cares for them and walks alongside them to improve their quality of life.

In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, basketball, pickleball, volleyball, board games, technology and artificial intelligence and video games, and he describes himself as a “foodie.”
