Dr. Jasmine Mitchell, MD

Dr. Jasmine Mitchell earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a public health emphasis from the University of California Irvine, her master's degree in microbiology and molecular genetics at Loma Linda School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California, and her medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed a residency in family medicine at McGovern Medical School and a postdoctoral research fellowship at the UTMB Center for Addiction Research.

Dr. Mitchell, who has been in practice since 2019, is a board-certified family medicine physician who treats patients of all ages. She is certified in intrauterine device (IUD) and etonogestrel implantation, and has advanced training in dermatology procedures and steroid injections.

Her primary clinical interests are diabetes, weight management, in-office procedures, including cyst removal, joint injections and other therapeutic treatments. Her approach to care centers on listening to a patient’s concerns and respecting the person’s decisions as she develops a treatment plan. She wants her patients to feel that she cares about them, listens to them and gives them the best treatment possible.

Dr. Mitchell values forming lifelong relationships with patients, gaining their trust and working together as a team. She gains her greatest satisfaction in developing those relationships with patients beginning in childhood and continuing as they progress into adulthood.

Dr. Mitchell is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
