Dr. Ismael Diaz Jr, MD

Dr. Ismael Diaz earned his medical degree at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and completed his residency in family practice at UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine.

Board certified Dr. Diaz in family medicine, Dr. Diaz has practiced in the Houston area since 2002. He treats patients ages 18 and older. His primary clinical interests are preventive medicine, chronic disease management and treating multigenerational families. He also speaks Spanish.

His practice style encourages patients’ active participation in their health care, and he inspires them to work toward better health. He provides quality, individualized care and his patients become like family. They appreciate his thoroughness, professionalism and sense of humor, and they especially value that he will spend as much time as necessary to help them.

Dr. Diaz, who lives in northeast Houston, is married and the father of three children. Away from his practice, he enjoys exercising and spending time with his family.
