Dr. Hanan Hussein earned her medical degree from the University of Szeged in Hungary. She completed her internship at New York Medical College and her residency in family practice at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
In practice since 2003, Dr. Hussein is board certified in family medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She treats newborns to seniors for acute conditions including colds, flu, sore throat, urinary infections, sprains, strains and headaches, as well as chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, lung disease and thyroid disease. Dr. Hussein also does wellness exams and sports physicals and offers tele-medicine and virtual visits for urgent illness, acute care, chronic disease management and review of test results. She speaks Arabic and members of her staff speak Spanish.
She also serves as a clinical assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and UTMB.
Dr. Hussein’s goal is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that is efficient, convenient and cost-effective. Her patients value her accessibility and compassion.
A resident of League City, Dr. Hussein is married and the mother of two sons. She likes to spend her leisure time with her family, including scouting and soccer activities, and supporting charity events.
