Dr. Geraldine Gossard, MD

Dr. Gossard received her medical degree from University College Galway School of Medicine in Galway, Ireland. She currently serves as assistant clinical professor at The University of Texas at Houston Medical School and faculty member at the Memorial Family Practice Residency Program. Dr. Gossard is board certified in family medicine.

With over 20 years in private practice, Dr. Gossard values a holistic approach to patient care, as an illness or condition often involves more than just the physical symptoms. Thorough and caring, she asks her patients about their concerns and what’s going on their lives. It’s because of these shared stories that she sees her role as a physician as a privilege – patients let her into their lives and trust her to help manage their disease process and improve their quality of life.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Gossard works alongside residents as a preceptor and is also very involved in research, her most recent studies focused on women’s health issues.

When not at work, Dr. Gossard likes traveling, cooking, playing golf and entertaining friends. She also enjoys spending free time with her husband and two sons. And as avid University of Florida Gator fans, her family relishes every college football season.
