A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Horn completed her Master’s of Science in Exercise Physiology at the University of Colorado in Boulder and her medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. She completed her preventive medicine residency at the University of South Carolina in Columbia and her family medicine residency at the Houston Methodist/Cornell program. Dr. Horn also holds a Master’s of Public Health and Physical Activity from the University of South Carolina.

Board certified in preventive medicine and family medicine and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, Dr. Horn has practiced obesity medicine since 2002. She specializes in obesity medicine and metabolic performance.

Dr. Horn is committed to an individualized approach to the medical care of her patients. She provides evidence-based care with a focus on improving the health and lifestyle of each patient. She treats patients 18 years and older. They value the comprehensive approach and support she provides to help them overcome obstacles to better health.

Named the Bariatrician of the Year in 2011 by the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA), Dr. Horn currently serves as president of the OMA. She is a clinical assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and medical director of the UT Physicians Center for Obesity Medicine and Metabolic Performance.

Dr. Horn enjoys paddle boarding, yoga, aerobics, jogging, Pilates, re-purposing old objects in a new way and spending time with her children.
